WELCOME TO SQUID INK DESIGN
My name is David Marsh, the Creative Director for Squid Ink Design I have over 30 years experience in the graphics industry. I began my career as a typographer/typesetter at a local country newspaper – at that time I couldn’t imagine how rapidly I would have to transition through desktop publishing to graphic design, finished art and art direction. I worked for seven years as design manager for an inner-city Melbourne printing company.
I wanted to start my own business for myself, so I began screen printing tshirts on the kitchen table. I created a tshirt label called “Mr Bucket” which gained a cult following and this enabled me to begin freelancing as a graphic designer. Over the last 5 years I have built a successful business with a loyal clientele, which now includes a commercial screenprinting operation.
This diversity and wealth of experience has given me unique insights into how I can help my clients. I work closely with a team of talented designers and industry professionals. Our client relationships are built on listening carefully to clients, approaching every design with passion and enthusiasm, then creating effective concepts and final art suitable for either printing or online projects.
OUR APPROACH
The flow chart below shows how we took an idea for a “Fish & Chips” food van and produced concepts from the initial client consultation which, through client feedback, eventually led to a new logo and branding for the business.

All prices include design and printing, GST and delivery. Quoted business cards are printed full colour on the front, black and white on the back on 350gsm stock. Postcards are A6 printed full colour doublesided on 250gsm stock. Terms are 50% deposit and 7 days invoice on completion. Screenprinting offer includes, two colour design on front, single colour on back, Matsui Eco friendly inks on a cotton tshirt. This package includes the one off cost of creating screens.
